I once had a blog. Don't remember how to access it (haven't wrote in it since 2005). For those who might have read it, since then: I graduated; got married; had our wedding ceremony 3 days later (funny story that was pretty scary at the time involving my wife's possible deportation); worked as a graphic designer; time passes; new manager didn't like me; I got fired (the week after my Grandmother passed away, and a week before Christmas -- yeah, awesome!); been looking for work, collecting EI and playing video games pretty much since then. Oh, and my replacement was also fired, as well as three other employees... In an office of around 7 to 9 people, sounds like poor management to me. But what do I know, I got fired!
Life sure does take you for a ride sometimes! This hasn't been a very fun ride lately, but it's a ride nonetheless. In the early months after I was fired, I was actually content to just rest. It had been a while since I could actually just stop and let the stress melt away. But now that it's been longer, I'm starting to feel the "I need a job soon" stress. Pretty hard to explain to a potential employer that I was fired though and make it smell like roses. They wouldn't understand that my manager was a 23 year old, with no management experience and a penchant for yelling at the top of her lungs to get her way. Oh, and her way was absolute... do not question her unerring decision making prowess. But I digress. So let's see, I think we've established that I'm still a wee bit bitter. But I think that's pretty normal when someone messes with your livelihood.
Been thinking about making a comic, but, I'm not much of a dialogue writer. Plus, I keep spinning ideas around and have not yet found the McGuffin for the first arc. And I've just yesterday thought of a possible all (and only) female cast. But I'm not sure how to separate them into two groups quite yet. I do have a few characters already designed though.
Either way, that's my post. Hopefully I'll find work soon.
